The EcoHedge API provides two products: the Factor API for emission factor lookup and the Categorisation API for automated spend-to-emissions classification. Both are accessible via REST endpoints with comprehensive documentation.
The Factor API gives programmatic access to our database of 277,000+ emission factors across 261 countries. Search by category, country, source and year. Every factor includes full metadata and audit information.
The Categorisation API accepts transaction descriptions and amounts, classifies them into emission categories, and returns calculated emissions. It uses a multi-signal classification pipeline for defensible categorisation.
